Explore different textile techniques that translate into metal wire. Learn to knit like a Viking, free-
form knitting, tablet weaving, braiding and bobbin lace; examining the way in which these
techniques were used historically and how they are being used by contemporary makers.
Each technique will be learned by making a small project; a Viking knit bangle, knitted pendant,
tablet-woven bracelet, braided chain and their choice of a bobbin lace pendant or earrings. This
