The Mother Ship Digital Residency & e-Campus
It has been a few months in the making but the waiting list is finally open!
In response to the effect which COVID-19 has had on the possibility of artists to travel for teaching and residencies we have created a digital residency programme which will begin in January 2021.
Join us for 12 months with 12 talented artists. Each month a different artist will lead an online workshop and a series of group sessions to work through a new technique or concept, and we will close each month with an online exhibition from the group.
Also within our little virtual campus I will be teaching costume & textile history as well as tutorials on other subjects like sustainability, textile science, and how and where to source unusual materials. My hope is to create a dynamic, supportive and useful online learning experience for people who prefer real-time contact with a group of students to working independently with pre-recorded lessons.
The programme and reading list for the first 3 months of 2021 will be available by the close of November.
If you would like to join us on our virtual campus join the waitlist here below and we will keep you updated with the details, and if you are an artist working in a textile medium who would be interested in being one of our residents you can get in touch here.
